Mom and I have been looking at vehicles this week and we are going to go out to look at the ones we found online tomorrow. What follows are reasons she’s turned down various (and very reasonably priced) cars. 

• “I really love that Prius Hybrid! And it’s only forty hundred…  wait, it’s dark green? Nevermind. We need it to be bright.”
• “It’s just what we’re looking for, but I want one with under 100k miles (has 101k miles). “
• “That’s ugly.”
• “Ooh, I was hoping to get out of this without being set over seven thousand dollars back…”
• “Ooh I was hoping it’d be under six thousand…”
• “Don’t be ridiculous, you know we’re going to spend more than five thousand on a car, we want you to be safe!”
